The roots of Emblazon Sign Company go all the way back to the Elbon family garage. In 1999, Rob Elbon founded Rob’s Custom Graphics as a personal artistic outlet. Over the years, the business grew to become one of Elkins’ favorite sign and design shops. Today, as Emblazon Sign Company, the shop is now owned and operated by Rob’s son, Zach.

Hi, I’m Zach Elbon. I’m a designer, graphic artist, aerial photographer, printer, engraver, and print marketing consultant. My goal is to help my customers access quality business and promotional materials that are both attractive and cost-effective.
A Lifelong Passion for Multimedia Art & Design
I’ve been passionate about creating multimedia art and bringing the beauty out of even the most mundane objects as far back as I can remember. Just because an object is functional, that doesn’t mean it can’t be attractive, too. I was fortunate that nearly my entire childhood was, essentially, an apprenticeship in graphic design. I still remember that pride I felt when my dad printed the decals for my school team’s football helmets. I grew up watching him carefully measure and cut vinyl, work late hours under fluorescent lights comparing colors, painstakingly ensuring his signs were printed just right, and the best part – seeing his customers’ faces light up when he handed over their final project. Seeing that joy? It’s the reason I’m in this business!
Making an Impact
I truly enjoy all of the aspects of my work, especially the process of graphic design, creating effective, inspiring logos, getting to know my customers and making an impact in the community. I absolutely love what I do.
When I found out that my dad was selling the business to follow his heart with some of his other interests, I immediately let him know I was interested. I am overjoyed that I was able to take over the business, keep it in the family – and do the work that inspires me. I look forward to meeting you and working with you to bring your vision to life. Zach Elbon was born and raised in Elkins, WV. He played football and baseball at Elkins High School and upon graduation attended West Virginia University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from WVU in 2015. Zach works as a Petroleum Engineer in the oil & gas industry and recently took over his father’s graphic design shop in the summer of 2020. His oil and gas experience has enabled Zach to travel across the country, which has deepened his love for the state of West Virginia. He feels that the people of West Virginia are talented, creative, and driven and there are many amazing small businesses here that have so much to offer our community. Zach has made it his mission to help small businesses in his home state to continue to grow and thrive. Throughout his life, Zach spent much of his spare time learning the commercial graphic design trade from his father. Some of his most fond memories are of tagging along with his father to help with an install. He feels honored to be able to continue the legacy his father built over a 21 year period. Zach currently lives in Randolph County with his wife, Megan. The Elbons expect to welcome their first child in April of 2021.
